With this evolving setup, I try to compose and perform in a different way. It is based on screenless machines that do not allow me to save a project. Once a knob is turned, you can’t undo.
This setup changed quite radically the way I do music at the moment. Once a track is composed and live recorded, it’s basically done. I can’t go back on it. It’s quite refreshing and freeing. I go on my desk, I mess with the setup for something like 20-30min, I record the track for 6-10min and then, the session is done.
